


Herb is the lead partner for Government Strategies, Inc. on agricultural issues, specializing in alcohol, wine, and winegrape advocacy. His extensive experience on the Robert Mondavi management team provides a unique perspective on the challenges faced by California businesses. Herb managed public affairs and government relations for 24 years on behalf of the Robert Mondavi Winery. For the past 15 years, he has served as the Vice President of Public Affairs, specializing in domestic and international relations. During his tenure, he was also Managing Director of Opus One. Herb has served as a member of the board of directors for a number of wine and grape industry organizations, including Family Winemakers of California and the American Vineyard Foundation. In addition, Herb currently serves as a board member for Wine America, Winegrowers of Napa County, and the Federation of International Wine and Spirit Companies. He also served as a member of the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee on Trade during the Clinton Administration. In 2000, Herb was appointed to the board of the Pierce's Disease/Glassywinged Sharpshooter Statewide Program by the Secretary of Agriculture of the State of California.
